What does a new bathroom cost in Sheffield?
There’s no honest single answer, because the suite is only part of it. A small cloakroom and a full family bathroom with floor-to-ceiling porcelain are different jobs entirely. We look at the room, price the labour and the materials separately, and put it in writing so you can see what’s driving the number.
How many days will we be without the bathroom?
For a typical full refit, think most of a week. Cloakrooms and single swaps are quicker. If it’s your only bathroom we’ll say so up front and plan the order of work to get the WC back in use as early as we can.
Do we buy the suite, or do you?
Whichever suits. Some people enjoy picking tiles and know exactly what they want. Others would rather hand over a budget and a rough style and let us come back with options that fit the room properly.
Do you take everything away afterwards?
Yes — old suite, old tiles, old flooring and the rubble. Skip and tip runs are our problem. The room is cleaned down before we hand it back, not left swept into a corner.
Can you fit a walk-in shower where the bath is now?
Very common request, especially in the older terraces and semis around Sheffield. Bath out, waste and feeds re-run, walls boarded and tanked, then the tray or former, screen and tiling. Usually a few days.
What’s the difference between a walk-in shower and a wet room?
A walk-in shower sits on a tray with a screen. A wet room has no tray at all — the floor itself is tanked and falls to a drain, so the whole room is the shower. Wet rooms need more preparation underfoot and suit level-access needs particularly well.
Do you handle the tiling, flooring and electrics too?
Yes. Wall tiling, panelling, floor tiling, LVT, plus spotlights, extractor fans and shaver sockets. It’s the same team throughout, so nothing stalls waiting on somebody else’s diary.
Our house is old and nothing is square. Is that a problem?
It’s normal round here. Out-of-square walls, sloping floors and boxed-in pipework from three refits ago are what we work with most weeks. It just needs setting out properly rather than starting in a corner and hoping.
